All Change!

19 Sep

It was a great start to the Quilting year with new Chair Julia in place and starting the meeting with some interesting changes to keep us all on our toes!

The tables were rearranged and we played a fun pairs game with named cards handed out randomly, then coming back in pairs to introduce everyone. We all learnt things we didn’t know about each other. It was lovely way to get together again after the Summer break!

It will soon be Glamorgan Quilters 40th Anniversary and we will be raising money for Tenovus over the coming months. Members proposed 4 charities and the votes were as follows:

Tenovus 19

Alzheimers 10

City Hospice 3

Pyjama Fairies 7

Truda Theodore is only remaining founder member of the group and has been made an Honorary Founder Member. Julia presented her with a certificate. See https://glamorganquilters.wordpress.com/truda-theodore/ for more information about Truda and Glamorgan Quilters.

Roger Stead, Pam’s husband came to the meeting with fabric to sell to raise money for the British Heart Foundation. A really good way to remember Pam!

The next meeting is on Saturday 12th October and the speaker is Jo Riou, Long Arm Quilter.
