Inspired Quilting, Delicious Cake!

14 Oct

What an amazing “Show and Tell” we had this month with such a diverse range of work and talent on show! Who could fail to admire and be inspired by it all.

Stunning!

Glynis was on a production line!

Ann’s vintage 1920’s blocks.

Hexies galore girls!

Anne’s wonderful Kaffe Fassett fabrics.

Jill’s quilt in progress for her first grandchild.

Kath’s patchwork jacket!

Chris is converting these gorgeous book characters that she made into puppets, and there are more to come!

Gill has appliqued all these lovely blocks by hand!

Pam’s baby quilt, pattern purchased from “Cottage Patchwork”

Then if that wasn’t enough quilting delight, after lunch, Jo Riou arrived from Monmouth to talk about her LongArm Quilting business,

“Lou Lou Rioux”.

Jo brought along a wooden cutout example of her Gammill Statler Stitcher longarm quilting machine to demonstrate the size and range it has, which expained it beautifully. She has thousands of different patterns and gives advice on these and a range of threads suitable for your quilt. Take a look at her website to see the many varied designs.

Another inspiring day with such an interesting speaker. Jo gave so many hints and tips that most of us hadn’t heard before! We thoroughly enjoyed it all. To end a lovely day there was tea and cake, how delicious!

Yummm!
