Jeannie Hainsworth Lamb

Jeannie has been a long standing member of Glamorgan Quilters until recently when other priorities in life have taken over. GQ are pleased to be able to acknowledge her work here.

???????????????????????????????????????????????????

I’ve been playing around with fabric for as long as I can remember and can’t imagine life without a project on the go. Quilting is absorbing and enormously creatively satisfying which is a good thing because I would otherwise have no justification for all the fabric and gadgets I use for insulation in the loft, where they are stored to maintain the equilibrium in my marriage to my longsuffering, non-quilting husband. He calls it The Shop In The Loft!

I love meeting with friends on a monthly basis who have so much in common; so much knowledge, skill and talent. We laugh together and stitch our lives into our quilts as we do so. Bliss.

In my other lives, I run a Financial Services business and have a long standing portfolio of clients that I have come to know very well over the last 27 years. I also run 42 honey bee colonies when I am at full strength, which is great fun, challenging and the outdoorsy part of my life.

???????????????????????????????????????????????????

I love reading, cooking, cake making and decorating, floristry, films and theatre and especially like to support local theatre groups like Cowbridge Am Dram.

Below is a quilt that Jeannie has recently completed.
