September Return!

September returns after the summer break. Autumn is well on the way and we are all back to join the group for an interesting year of quilting. A new Chair, Treasurer and Committee who have planned another season of goodness for us.

Over the summer Myra has been busy again making quilts for the premature units in hospitals round South Wales. She has made enough to give many babies a cosy start in life.

Sara Kear-Smith came to visit from White Gecko Craft Lounge in Dinas Powys, with her pop up shop and gave us a talk on Manx Quilting. This was something new to a few of us and I’m sure we’ll be seeing examples of this technique in the future. What a wonderful selection of gorgeous fabrics to choose from.

It was a treat to be back together with friends pay our subscriptions and enjoy a day of sewing and chatter with tea and cake of course.

Amanda had been busy sorting out her cupboards and brought an amazing quilt to donate to Project Linus.
